So here's my new motivation for keeping pace on this weight loss journey. As a Taekwando student, I test for a new belt every two months. Within the span of this weight loss challenge, I will have gained 3 new belts. The belts will serve as motivation to lose 10 lbs by the time I receive my next belt. That's 10 lbs every 2 months. That doesn't seem too unreasonable, now I just have to put forth the effort!

A new week, new opportunities
A day of "cognitive recalibration" for my diet. Yes, that's a quote from the Avengers. I splurged this weekend and enjoyed a meal out with my wife, and am quite content about it. If a diet means making major (or minor, if that's how you see it) adjustments for a short period of time to win a challenge, the weight always comes back.
I settle more in the camp of learning how to eat healthy on a regular basis and not only losing the weight but keeping it off for the long haul. Guess what? Not only did I enjoy a meal out with my wife, I also lost weight.
Sparring tomorrow should help that, too!

Food with Attitude
This now 200 lb guy enjoyed a great dinner courtesy of Cabanas tonight with his lovely wife. I had the shrimp with lime? I can't remember the exact name but it was amazing! Who knew dieting tasted so good? Add karate this morning and sparring tonight and it was a healthy eating day and plenty of exercise!
